Tweede online Dutch Huntington’s Disease Symposium

Het Huntington Expertisecentrum MUMC+ organiseert van op vrijdag 5 november 2021 het tweede online Dutch Huntington’s Disease Symposium. Het symposium focust op biomarkers in de ziekte van Huntington. Dit zijn biologische markers die aan kunnen geven dat iemand ziek is, maar ook die kunnen voorspellen hoe ernstig een ziektebeloop zal zijn of die laten zien of een behandeling werkt of niet.

Het symposium is in het Engels.

Programma

Tijdens het symposium wordt besproken welke biomarkers nuttig zijn in de zoektocht naar de ‘ultieme behandeling’ en rond welke leeftijd gezocht dient te worden naar deze biomarkers. Ook wordt besproken welke nieuwe onderzoeksuitdagingen en -initatieven naar voren zijn gekomen.
